New for 2019: A New Look for the Great Labrador Canoe Race
The 2019 version of Great Labrador Canoe Race (GLCR) will involve starting on the Goose River (at the bridge on Route 520) and a new route that will see the Finish Line at the Gosling Lake Park Beach on Gosling Lake. The 19-km course will require 1.5-3 hrs (depending on ability) and have all of the same features as before in terms of challenge for the competitors and/or enjoyment for those looking for a recreational paddle. The 'apres-race event (i.e., BBQ and awards) will be held immediately after the race at the Birch Brook Nordic Ski Club.
